These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rize mobile application (the "App"), operated as a sole proprietorship based in California, United States ("Rize," "we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
To use the App, you must create an account using an email address or a supported sign-in provider (Apple or Google). You are responsible for:

Rize is a tool that helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs discover business ideas, follow guided task roadmaps, track their business activity, and interact with an AI-powered coaching feature ("Coach"). Features and content may change over time.
The Coach uses an artificial intelligence model to generate responses. The Coach's responses are for informational and educational purposes only. They are generated by an AI system and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or not suited to your specific situation.
The Coach does not provide professional advice. Nothing in the App constitutes legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your business, finances, taxes, or legal matters. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make and any actions you take based on information from the App.
The App offers premium features through an auto-renewing subscription. Pricing is shown in the App before you purchase.
All purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. We do not collect or process your payment information.
Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your App Store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device settings: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. Deleting the App or your Rize account does not automatically cancel your subscription — you must cancel through your App Store settings to stop being billed.
Because subscriptions are processed by Apple, all refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store's policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. To request a refund, visit Apple's "Report a Problem" page (reportaproblem.apple.com) or contact Apple Support.
Some features may be available without a subscription, subject to usage limits described in the App. We may change the features included in the free tier or any subscription tier at our discretion.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the App, including your business information and the messages you send to the Coach ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process it as necessary to operate and provide the App, including transmitting Coach conversation content to our AI provider to generate responses. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
The App, including its design, features, text, graphics, mascot, and underlying software, is owned by Rize and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal and business use in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
The App relies on third-party services (including Supabase, Anthropic, Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and Sentry) to function. Your use of the App may be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the practices or availability of third-party services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any information provided through the App (including Coach responses) is accurate or reliable. Any reliance on the App is at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIZE AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rize and its operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
